The six-year-old girl who died in a go-kart accident at an adventure park in Port St. Lucie, Florida, while celebrating her sister’s birthday on Saturday, has been identified. The girl, named Emma Riddle, is now mourned by her family as police continue their investigation.
The devastating tragedy occurred at the Urban Air Adventure Park in Port St. Lucie, Florida, on Saturday. Six-year-old Emma Riddle was with her family to celebrate her sister’s birthday at the adventure park.
Police say the girl was riding in a go-kart with another adult when another cart slammed into them. Emma was airlifted to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital but died from her injuries the following morning.
Urban Air Adventure Park shut down as an investigation is ongoing. Per WPTV, A state inspector with the Florida Department of Agriculture visited the facility on Monday.
They oversee go-kart tracks, as they fall under their jurisdiction for carnival rides. What went wrong and how it could’ve happened in the first place are just two of many questions being asked.

According to CBS12, the parent company for this particular fun park has been sued and settled multiple times in the past. One former case involved a 10-year-old who fell 20 feet off a zipline but luckily survived. Urban Air has not yet provided a comment on the fatal accident that occurred this past weekend.
In an obituary written by Emma’s parents, the little girl was described as “full of life, love and light,” touching every soul she met. The family has created a GoFundMe page to help with funeral expenses.
The family wrote Emma was at the amusement park “joyfully celebrating her sister’s birthday” when the accident occurred.
“She was adored by all who knew her and loved God with all her heart. Her faith was strong, her spirit radiant, and her kindness unmatched,” the obituary read.
“Though her time with us was far too short, Emma filled every moment with laughter, compassion, and warmth. She will forever remain a precious daughter, sister, friend, and a cherished gift from God.

Emma Riddle’s memorial will be held on Saturday, December 13, at 10 a.m. at the Calvary Chapel in Port St. Lucie, located on NW St. James Drive.
